Leaders: Arle, Alan, Todd
Temperature: High of 14 degrees
Our recent adventure at the winter sled race was nothing short of exhilarating! Despite the freezing temperatures, the Scouts had an unforgettable experience filled with various activities.
Activities We Enjoyed Most
Rifle Shooting: The Scouts had the opportunity to practice their marksmanship skills, learning about safety and precision.
Building Fires: Used three materials to start fires. Not all three worked, but it was fun to get them to make heat!
Using Topo Maps: Navigating with topographic maps was a great way for the Scouts to enhance their outdoor skills and learn about the terrain.
Sled Race: The highlight of the day was the thrilling mile-long sled race, where teams competed for the best time while having a blast!
Awards! Our team won third place in Topo, second in Lashing, and third overall. We were paired with Troop 144, and they really brought some speed and strength to help us place in the top three of the race! Thanks Troop 144!
Even though it was freezing all day, the camaraderie and excitement made it all worthwhile. We pushed through the cold and created lasting memories together. Can't wait for our next adventure! – Rosemary
